I grew up in Canterbury, New Zealand.
Most of our weekends and holidays consisted of outdoor trips with the family, due to Mum and Dad being adventure race veterans and outdoor fanatics.
In the winter, that meant spending a lot of time at our bach in the mountains, and skiing frequently.
My early love for skiing came from ripping around behind my older brother, Charlie and friends, it drove my early passion on the snow.
The family moved South to the stunning Lake Wanaka at the end of 2012
I was always juggling sports and outdoor activities as I grew up, I enjoyed so many of the countless I got to experience. In the past few years I have been focusing a lot on skiing.
Three of my most memorable sporting moments outside of skiing would be:
1. Placing 3rd overall at the 2014 Routeburn mountain race (2hrs 58mins)
2. Winning the NZ Schools adventure racing race title.
3. Being the first family team and youngest person(16), to attempt, and complete the 2015 Godzone, which is an adventure race on the World AR Series. -we completed the gruelling race in 5 days 17 hours and 20 minutes.
In the last two years I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world.
In 2016 I had success on the Junior circuit of the Freeride World Tour and finished as Ski Men Champion.
At the start of 2016 I became the youngest ever to take the top spot in the Freeride World Qualifying Tour and make the Freeride World Tour.
This winter I have been lucky enough to find myself on two podiums on the Freeride World Tour. (2nd at stop #3 in Andorra, & 2nd at the finale in Switzerland.)
Around the competitions I have got meet incredible people and have amazing moments experiencing journeys to new places. You should be able to find a couple of them in 'recent adventures' above.
